Apple Baker Handmade Stoneware Pottery
Michelle East’s Handmade Apple Bakers are all thrown on the pottery wheel with a light/medium red-brown colored stoneware clay. All pieces are glazed with lead-free glaze (food safe) & mid-fired for long-lasting strength and durability.
***Apple bakers must go in a COLD OVEN (Do NOT Pre-heat oven), in order to avoid thermal shock***
This apple baker is available in 3 style options in addition to a variety of glaze combinations. The body of the baker is smooth and the top edging comes in Smooth, 4-Point Scallop or Pie Edge. Each mug is signed and dated by Michelle East.
Instructions:
**DO NOT PREHEAT OVEN
- Core the apple
- Place apple on apple baker
- Stuff in, on top and around the apple with a mixture of butter, brown sugar, raisins, chopped pecans and cinnamon or whatever else you desire
- Place in a COLD oven
- Bring oven up to 375 then let bake for 30-45 minutes (depending on how crisp you want the apple)

*Avoid thermal shock-Quick changes in temperature may make the clay crack!
NOTE: This picture is a representation of the glaze and item. Because my pottery is handmade (not mass produced), please allow for slight variation in size, form, and glaze coloring as each firing is different, but that’s what makes each one unique.
