“Grand Canyon Sunset”
Original Oil Painting by Michelle C. East
Description: “Grand Canyon Sunset” painting of the sun setting over the Grand View Point. The setting sun created a blue or blue-purple hue in the shadows of the chasm. Sunlight was illuminating the rock formations making them look like they were on fire or glowing. This viewpoint was captured on a family vacation to the Grand Canyon in July 2016. There were fires in the land making the sky hazy. Original oil painting by Michelle C. East completed in September 2016
Size: 1 x 12 x 24″ Wood Panel Gallery Board (finished painted edges-no frame needed)
Artist Interpretation: The Grand Canyon is an excellent example of a chasm: a deep hole or opening in the surface of the earth. As our family sat together and watched the sunset we were reminded of God’s incredible power and glory. “O Lord, how manifold are Thy works! In wisdom hast Thou made them all; the earth is full of Thy riches.” Psalms 104:24 (KJ)
