Description
“Tomatoes on a Silver Platter”
Description: Four tomatoes still on the vine resting on a silver platter with scalloped edges. The abstracted and distorted reflections of the tomatoes are seen in the decorative scalloped of the platter. Platter is set against a black background. Painting wraps around all four sides of the gallery edge canvas. Original oil painting created in January 2017 by Michelle C. East.
Size: 1 x 18 x 24″ Oil on Wood Panel Gallery Board (Finished Painted Edges-no frame needed)
Interpretation: The tomatoes as seen from a normal viewpoint are perfectly formed, but when you look at the reflection in the platter the images becomes abstracted and distorted. The surface in which we look upon our reflection has a major impact on the clarity of the reflected image. Be careful what you choose to look through. Your image could be abstracted and distorted not giving a true visualization of reality. Do not let your circumstances be the “scalloped platter” in which you view yourself, rather look through your Heavenly Father who will give you the true reflection of yourself.
