This succulent plant was a gift from my mother for Mother’s Day last year. Wanting to take a break from painting flowers, I was searching for a new subject matter and walked out on my back patio one morning and saw the succulent.\u00a0The way the morning light fell on this succulent plant caught my eye instantly! The reddish pink tips of the succulent almost looked like fire glowing. I loved the turquoise shadows and how the light wrapped around the soft leaves of the succulent<\/p>\n

I have been wanting to challenge myself by painting looser (yes, this is loose for me!<\/i>) and experiment \u00a0with textures. This was fun to paint!<\/p>\n
